Mactan Island - sun, sand and beaches...
the first stop - Cebu Marine Beach Resort at Marigondon. first impression - the resort was clean. and the facilities are not that 'torn and battered' - unlike some of the beaches that has been, so they say, 'overused'. the place was quite small but the landscape was quite okay. not to mention a traditional nipa hut with a chessboard table - a haven for chess lovers.
the pool though is small. not inviting for those who want their children to swatter on freshwater. the beach front scenery is very inviting. and the small 'island-like' structure at a distant adds drama to the calm waters. at first sight, it brought back the picture of boracay in my mind - but, oh, well - nothing compares the white sands of the beautiful boracay.
by next week, when i got to taste their specialty and delicacies, i probably can tell if their food completes the calmness and appeal of this new resort.
